About Us MedEsystem was conceived and founded by IT professionals working in the healthcare industry. As IT specialists we experienced firsthand how the push for Electronic Medical Records (EMR) benefits physicians, but often provide little benefit to patients. In many instances, even though patient records have been automated, they remain with the doctor and cannot be freely shared with other doctors using different EMR solutions. Our experience showed, inconsistent record keeping between computer and paper based systems and a tremendous incapacity to share patient records. Collaboration between doctors who freely share patient data outside of the same hospital was rarely achieved. As a result, we knew there must be a better way, so we were compelled to create MedEsystem. A portable electronic medical record solution that focuses on the patients needs first. A New Paradigm: In the past, the old paradigm was to fully trust our doctors would know everything about our medical histories. We relied on doctors to maintain our records in paper based file systems and rarely questioned decisions made from them. This served us well when society was less mobile and written records were the norm. However, in today’s world we are always on the go and technology is a part of our every day lives. So, the need to have our medical records with us at all times is critical. Our experience in the healthcare industry shows us that a new paradigm shift is about to take place.
